Models 150C • 156C • 155C • 160C - These high quality doors are designed for commercial
and industrial facilities and provide the durability of
a full 26 gauge, heavy-duty exterior steel skin.
Curtains are prepainted inside and out to inhibit rust.
Hot-dipped, galvanized steel is painted with primer and given a
tough oven-baked silicone polyester top coat, to provide the
most rust-resistant steel door available.

Model 150C Specifications
Corrugated Curtain – 26 gauge sheets, roll formed from ASTM A 653 grade 80 full
hard steel, interlocked and seamed together to make a continuous curtain for full
height of door. Full height felt tape on back of curtain prevents nesting and reduces
paint rubbing. Available in sizes up to 12' x 14'.
Finish Coat – Curtain is galvanized and prepainted with long-lasting silicone
polyester paint.
Guides – Roll formed, 18 gauge galvanized guides are fitted with dual polyethylene
wearstrips to reduce friction and muffle door noises. All guide attachment to jamb is
performed through the guides without the addition of clips welded to the back of
the guides.
Mini-Latch – Standard stainless steel cover, slide and four attachment bolts are
factory installed. Latch accepts all industry padlocks, including 7/16" diameter
shanks. Provision for cylinder lock is included.
Brackets – Factory installed galvanized reinforced 12 gauge brackets are designed to
easily snap onto the guides, reducing installation time.
Bottom Bar – Roll formed clear acrylic coated galvanized steel reinforced with a 2" x
1-1/2" 11 gauge full width galvanized steel angle. The PVC bulb astragal provides
positive contact with the floor. Lift handle(s) installed on exterior side of bottom bar
and a nonrotting pull rope is attached to the inside angle.
Counterbalance – Oil-tempered helical torsion springs are factory lubricated to
minimize friction and corrosion while increasing the spring cycle life. Spring wire
conforms to ASTM A 229. All drums are fitted with a grease-filled, shielded radial ball
bearing to contribute to a smoother operation and reduce wear and friction. Barrel is
full width galvanized steel, which totally encloses the drum, springs and axle.
Ratchet Spring Tension Assembly – Factory installed on the end of the door axle
and allows precise fine tuning of the initial spring tension. Increments of 1/8 turn are
possible. Tensioner adjusts both springs equally at the same time from only one end
of the door.
Wind Loading – Clopay WINDCODE® W3, W4 and W8 are available.
Model 155C Specifications
Corrugated Curtain – 26 gauge sheets, roll formed from ASTM A 653 grade 80
full hard steel, nterlocked and seamed together to make a continuous curtain
for full height of door. Heavy-duty nylon striping attached to the curtain helps
control curtain stretch and works in conjunction with the vinyl guide strip to
reduce wear and deaden sound. Available in sizes up to 12' x 14'.
Finish Coat – Curtain is galvanized and prepainted with long-lasting
silicone polyester paint.
Guides – Universal mount 2-1/2" wide, 16 gauge galvanized steel, requires no
preinstallation odifications for wood, steel, concrete or masonry block
applications.
Slide Bolt Lock – Assembly affixed to the bottom bar at each end of the door
curtain fastens through the guide to securely keep the door locked and in the
down position. Padlocks can be attached to the slide to further secure the door.
Brackets – Engineered and designed with deep embossing for strength and
tested to withstand more than 1,200 pounds per pair. The installation friendly
mounting brackets feature safe rounded edges and slots that allow for easy
vertical adjustments as well as various installation preferences.

a 2" x 1-1/2" 11 gauge full width galvanized steel angle. The PVC bulb astragal
provides positive contact with the floor.

Cam-action Spring Tension – Holding device allows quick, easy and equal
adjustment of all springs equally at the same time from only one end of the
door. Spring tension adjustment is accommodated by inserting a common 3/8" ratchet tool into the end of the drive shaft and rotating.
Operation – Up to 10' x 10' by means of manual push-up. A reduced drive
chain hoist for smoother operation is standard for doors over 10' wide.
Model 156C Specifications
Same features as the Model 155C with these exceptions:

Cam-action Spring Tension – Spring tension adjustment is accommodated
by inserting a common 1/2" ratchet tool into the end of the drive shaft
and rotating.
Wind Loading – Clopay WINDCODE® W6 and W8 are available.
Insulation Option
(Available on all Clopay Roll-up Sheet Door Models)
Optional insulation made of foil-backed, dual layer polyethylene air- bubble
insulation secured in place with a strong adhesive and joined by Mylar® film to
provide an R-value of 4. Top and side draft stops are included with this option.
