Fire-Rated Rolling Doors ASTA 500 Series
The ASTA America 500 Series is a UL-listed rolling fire door engineered for openings where fire-rated protection is required by building code. With fire ratings from 45 minutes up to 4 hours, the 500 Series meets the most demanding life-safety requirements for commercial buildings, hospitals, schools, warehouses, and industrial facilities throughout Greater Houston. The 500 Series lineup includes the standard 500 (non-insulated, up to 4-hour UL rating), the advanced 500i (insulated with mineral wool, up to 3-hour UL rating), and the compact 550 (counter shutter for smaller pass-through openings, up to 1.5-hour rating). All models feature fail-safe operation via fusible links, smoke detectors, or alarm systems — and are UL-labeled for complete code compliance and inspector confidence. At Halo Overhead Doors, our factory-trained technicians install, test, and service the full ASTA 500 Series in accordance with UL requirements and Houston building codes. From initial spec consultation through annual drop testing and maintenance, Halo is your complete fire door partner.
